Job summary

UC San Diego Health's CT Imaging Department offers a dynamic environment where technologists operate multi-slice CT scanners and ensure patient safety during high-quality, low-dose scans across La Jolla, Hillcrest, and East Campus.

As a CT Technologist, you will position patients, review images, and collaborate with expert radiologists and multidisciplinary teams while contributing to protocol development in an academic healthcare setting.

Qualifications

  • Recent graduate of a school of radiologic technology.
  • California Radiology Technologist of Radiography (CRT-R).
  • Registered Technologist for Computed Tomography (R.T.(CT)(ARRT)).
  • Venipuncture certification.
  • BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six months of hire date.
  • Recent experience in a similar role and setting or new graduate of an approved radiologic technology program.

Responsibilities

  • Position patients and prepare for CT imaging.
  • Operate CT equipment and adjust scanning parameters.
  • Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures.
  • Review images for quality and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Maintain accurate records of procedures and findings.
