The ideal candidate has completed an approved Radiologic Technology program, holds NY licensure, ARRT registration, and at least 1 year of experience performing radiologic exams.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program.
• New York State licensure as Radiologic Technologist is required.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration is required.
• Minimum of one year of experience performing radiologic exams is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient for exam and relieves anxiety by explaining the procedure in layman terms.
• Performs radiologic exams according to department standards and SOPs, positions patient, and adjusts immobilization devices.
• Operates x-ray equipment and controls to obtain correct exposure while monitoring patient condition for safety.
• Ensures correct labeling of images (right/left, date, patient ID) and enters exam data into logs/records.
• Maintains required documentation and performs related duties as needed.
