Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited two-year AMA program in Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology.
• ARRT certification in Radiology or NMTCB for Nuclear Medicine and ARRT CT registry within one year of hire.
• BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Verify orders with radiologist before exams and refer discrepancies.
• Identify patients using two identifiers and explain procedures.
• Interview for medical history and document on requisitions.
• Perform CT scans and assist radiologist/PA during procedures.
• Administer contrast per protocols and document type/amount.
• Maintain radiation safety and clean, stocked work areas.
• Provide basic patient care and respond to emergencies, including code blue.
• Operate radiology computer system and document contrast administration in MAR.
• Report equipment malfunctions and rotate shifts as required.
