Job summary

St. David’s Round Rock Medical Center in Round Rock, TX seeks a CT Technologist to perform CT scans and radiographic exams, ensuring high-quality images for diagnosis.

You will follow ARRT/ACR/TMB standards, manage patient flow, and administer contrast while maintaining patient safety and accurate documentation. The role requires ARRT (R) and ARRT (CT) certifications, BLS, AMA-approved radiologic program, and preferred CT experience.

Qualifications

• One year experience as a Radiology Technologist – preferred.
• One year experience as a CT Technologist - preferred.
• Graduate from a school of Radiologic Technology approved by the AMA.
• Current MRT certification with Texas Medical Board (TMB).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification per St. David’s Healthcare policy.
• Certified in Radiology by ARRT (R).
• Certified in CT by ARRT (CT) within 90 days of CT assignment.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT scans and x-rays following ARRT/ACR/TMB standards.
• Demonstrate cross-sectional images for interpretation by a licensed practitioner.
• Provide appropriate patient care and recognize conditions essential for success.
• Demonstrate knowledge of anatomy, disease processes, patient care and protection.
• Verify orders match requisitions before performing exams.
• Follow appropriate protocol for the ordered exam.
• Administer contrast material using proper technique.
• Enter charges and review for accuracy.
• Correlate patient history with procedures for radiologist review.
• Manage patient flow to prioritize exams and maintain efficiency.
