Job summary

Shady Grove Medical Center, part of Adventist HealthCare, seeks a CT Technologist to perform CT imaging in the department, ensuring protocol adherence and patient safety. The role involves operating the CT scanner, assisting radiologists in interventions, and documenting in HIS/RIS/PACS.

It supports high patient throughput and teamwork across shifts. Requirements include a Maryland radiologic license, ARRT CT, AMA/JRCERT accredited radiography education, and BLS.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Graduate of an AMA/JRCERT Accredited school of Radiography.
• 1 year CT experience preferred.
• Maryland Radiation Technologist license.
• ARRT (CT) Certification.
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT examinations per radiologists' protocols.
• Operate CT scanner and ancillary CT equipment.
• Assist radiologist and staff in interventional procedures.
• Understand contrast administration and contraindications.
• Review orders and select scanning protocols for quality and safety.
• Document in HIS, RIS, PACS, Telelradiography.
