Job summary

Mount Sinai Health System seeks a Radiologic Technologist specialized in CT to perform CT studies and radiologic exams per established protocols in a fast-paced setting in New York. The role requires ARRT CT, NY license, and BLS, with experience in OR and portable radiology.

Responsibilities include quality control, radiopharmaceutical handling, and documentation. The incumbent will support imaging teams and contribute to patient safety and accuracy in emergency care.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
  • NY State DOH License and registration in Radiologic Technology.
  • ARRT certification in Radiography (R) and Computed Tomography (CT).
  • BLS certification (American Heart Association).
  • 1 year minimum experience, including OR procedures and portables.
  • Proficiency in Fluoroscopic / portable radiology / OR procedures.
  • Knowledge of McKesson PACs and Radiology Information systems (RIS).
  • Experience in digital & computed radiography.

Responsibilities

  • Perform radiologic examinations on patients referred by physicians per protocols.
  • Be competent in routine diagnostic, operating room, and portables.
  • Utilize appropriate kV and mA to insure quality CT images.
  • Conduct daily QC/calibration checks before patient studies.
  • Inject patients with radiopharmaceuticals per physician order.
  • Document logs, manuals, and report equipment problems per policy.
  • Follow ALARA principles; perform safety tests and QA activities.
  • Maintain and retrieve patient films and data for radiologist interpretation.
  • Order patient-specific radiopharmaceutical doses 1 day prior to use.
  • Receive radiopharmaceuticals and verify activity prior to administration.
  • Evaluate radiographs for technical acceptability.
  • Work comfortably in an Emergency Department setting.
  • Other duties as assigned.
