Job summary

Mount Sinai Morningside is seeking an Radiologic Technologist to perform CT studies and radiologic examinations as ordered by physicians, following established protocols. Responsibilities include routine diagnostic, OR, and portable imaging, ensuring image quality through correct kV/mA settings and performing daily QC checks.

The role requires NY state license in Radiologic Technology and ARRT certifications in Radiography and CT, plus BLS.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• NY State license and registration in Radiologic Technology.
• ARRT cert in Radiography (R) and CT.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association).
• 1 year min experience including OR procedures and portables.
• Proficiency in Fluoroscopic/portable radiology/OR procedures.
• Knowledge of McKesson PACs and RIS.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiologic examinations on patients referred by physicians according to radiologic protocols.
• Must be competent in routine diagnostic, operating room, and portable radiology.
• Use appropriate kV and mA techniques to ensure quality CT images.
• Perform daily quality control calibration checks on equipment.
• Inject radiopharmaceuticals per physician’s order and protocol.
• Maintain logs, manuals, charge documents, and report equipment problems per policy.
• Follow ALARA and radiation safety guidelines.
