Job summary

South Shore Hospital in Weymouth, MA seeks a Radiologic Technologist specialized in CT to join its Imaging Services team. You will participate in CT procedures, operate and calibrate the scanner, prepare patients, and ensure safety and image quality throughout exams.

Responsibilities include reviewing orders with the Radiologist, administering contrast when appropriate, maintaining equipment and supplies, and training department staff.

Qualifications

• Formal training in Radiology Technology from an AMA-approved program.
• Minimum 3–4 years radiologic experience; CT experience preferred (1 year exposure).
• Active ARRT CT certification and MA/NMTCB requirements as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Maintains CT equipment and ensures proper diagnostic imaging.
• Cleans daily and reports system issues; alerts service engineer.
• Sets up equipment and calibrates CT unit per exam standards.
• Obtains IV access and administers contrast when required.
• Reviews patient charts and orders with Radiologist to ensure correct exams.
• Performs quality controls on images and monitors inventory.
• Uses anatomical knowledge for accurate patient positioning.
• Supports new tech through training of staff and students.
• Maintains safety, hand hygiene and universal precautions.
