Job summary

South Shore Health System seeks a skilled CT technologist to participate in the setup, execution, and optimization of CT examinations. The role involves patient preparation, contrast administration, image quality checks, and coordination with radiologists.

The candidate should have AMA-approved radiology training, 3–4 years of radiology experience with CT exposure, and ARRT/NMTCB or MA certification with BLS within 180 days. This is an on-site role within the Radiology Department.

Qualifications

• Formal training in Radiology Technology from AMA approved program.
• 3–4 years radiology experience; CT exposure preferred.
• ARRT CT and NMTCB or MA licensure/certification required; BLS within 180 days.

Responsibilities

• Maintain CT equipment and monitor procedures for effective imaging.
• Set up and calibrate CT unit per exam requirements.
• Explain procedures to patients and prepare them for exams.
• Administer appropriate contrast agents with sterile technique.
• Review orders with Radiologist to ensure proper examinations.
• Adhere to safety regulations and maintain image quality.
