Job summary

Akumin is hiring a CT Technologist for our Weston, FL facility. This full-time position focuses on patient safety and performing high-quality CT studies, with collaboration with radiologists. The role also may involve training new technologists and patient coordinators.

Candidates should hold ARRT CT certification (NMTCB acceptable in lieu), state license, CPR, and strong customer service skills. A sign-on bonus of $2,500 is offered.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred.
• ARRT CT certification required; NMTCB CT accepted in lieu of ARRT.
• State license in medical imaging where applicable.
• CPR certification required.
• Valid state driver’s license for mid-day moves.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• COVID-19 vaccination may be a condition of employment.
• Background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety, including pre-screening for contraindications to radiation and contrast injections; aseptic techniques.
• Produce high quality diagnostic CT images.
• Communicate effectively with customers and radiologists.
• Train new technologists and/or Patient Coordinators.
• Troubleshoot CT scanner and peripheral equipment (monitors, PACS, etc.).
