Job summary

East Georgia Regional Medical Center, LLC is seeking a CT Technologist to operate CT equipment, produce diagnostic images, and ensure patient safety and comfort. You will position patients, verify orders, administer contrast as needed, and collaborate with radiologists to deliver timely results.

The role requires 1–2 years of clinical radiology experience with CT in acute care; licensure as a Radiologic Technologist and CT certification eligibility within six months of hire are preferred.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of clinical radiology experience required or acquired through an accredited program.
• 2–4 years of CT experience in an acute care hospital preferred.
• Licensed Radiologic Technologist, CT certification eligible within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Operates CT equipment to produce diagnostic images per protocols.
• Prepares and positions patients, ensuring safety and comfort.
• Verifies patient identity and orders; screens for contraindications.
• Performs contrast administration and monitors for adverse reactions.
• Explains procedures and communicates with patients to reduce anxiety.
• Collaborates with radiologists and healthcare teams for timely results.
• Assists with interventional CT procedures as needed.
• Reviews images for accuracy and documents findings.
• Maintains equipment and conducts basic QC checks.
• Maintains a clean, stocked work area and adheres to safety guidelines.
