Qualifications

• Current ARRT (R) (CT) registration.
• Minimum of 3 years CT Technologist experience (Level II).
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and radiation safety.

Responsibilities

• Maintain ARRT competency in all clinical and technical functions.
• Operate CT equipment and information systems to produce quality images.
• Verify patient identity, prepare the patient for exam, and verify orders.
• Perform exams per departmental protocol and ensure image quality.
• Review images for quality, clarity, and accuracy; ensure complete structures are captured.
• Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and maintain a safe exam environment.
• Complete studies within established time frames without compromising care.
• Educate patients, ensure comfort, and address concerns.
• Coordinate patient care and communicate essential information to care teams.
• Stay current with CT advancements and participate in continuing education.
• Instruct students and staff on exam protocols and positioning.
