Position Overview

Competently performs routine and specialized computerized tomography procedures to produce quality images for diagnosis, treatment, monitoring, and prevention of injury or disease. Works independently, exercising sound judgment, and clinical skills to ensure safe and precise procedures that deliver accurate results promptly. Gains confidence and cooperation from patients and healthcare providers through competent assessment, attentive monitoring, and effective communication. Adheres to all regulations and policies to ensure privacy and safety while delivering optimal patient care. May also perform specific procedures or help orient staff to the department.

Sign-On Bonus

$10,000. Available to external candidates per Sutter Health policy.

Education

Graduation from a JRCERT-accredited Radiologic Technologist Program.

Certification & Licensure

• CRT - Certified Radiologic Technologist (from state where work is performed)
• BLS - Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
• RHF - Radiology Fluoroscopy within 180 days of hire, if required

Experience

5 years of recent relevant experience.

Skills and Knowledge

• Knowledge of diagnostic CT principles, procedures, views, and equipment, including responding to traumas and emergencies.
• Ability to perform routine CT exams and understand human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• Strong communication skills for explaining sensitive information professionally.
• Good time management and organizational skills to prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency with computer applications like Microsoft Office, RIS, LIS, EHR, EPIC, and PACS.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, handling multiple tasks amid interruptions.
• Problem-solving skills using established solutions.
• Maintain patient PHI privacy.
• Build collaborative relationships with healthcare team members.

Pay Range: $61.23 to $76.52/hour. Salary may vary based on location, experience, education, skills, and organizational needs. Includes a comprehensive benefits package.
