Job summary

HCA Healthcare Summerville Hospital is seeking a CT Technologist to perform CT imaging procedures as directed by radiologists. You will operate CT equipment, verify image quality, and prepare rooms with the necessary supplies for each procedure.

The role may include supervising students and assisting in diagnostic work areas as needed. ARRT and SCRQSA licensure are required upon hire, with BLS within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification required upon hire.
• SCRQSA certification required upon hire.
• BLS - Healthcare provider on hire or within 30 days of hire from AHA or ARC.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT diagnostic procedures as outlined by the radiologist.
• Operate diagnostic CT equipment and verify images.

• Assist in the imaging department's primary mission by providing high-quality CT scans.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The CT Technologist performscomputerized tomography diagnostic procedures as outlined by the radiologist. Operates diagnostic equipment,verifiesimagesand prepares room with necessary equipment and supplies for the procedure. Technologist isresponsible forassistingin the primary mission of the medical imaging department by ensuring that proper diagnostic information is provided through the production ofhigh-qualityCT scans. Other dutiesinclude, butare not limited to; clerical, scheduling, diagnostic imaging, transportation, ordering supplies, inventory,cleaningand anythingdeemednecessary by the medical imaging management team. Assistin diagnostic work area as needed. Job may include direct supervision of students at the discretion of the area supervisor. Employeemust have the same licensure or have completed the sametraining tosatisfy the requirements of the discipline of the student. Direct supervisionmeansthe primary caregiver is readily available to the student throughout the shift.
