Job summary

Saint Mary’s Health Network, part of Prime Healthcare, seeks an Advanced Imaging professional to perform diagnostic imaging under physician orders. You will follow protocol, ensure image quality, and maintain patient safety in a busy radiology department.

The role emphasizes credentialed imaging work with compliance to ACR/IAC standards and direct collaboration with physicians and clinical staff. Hospital-based experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of an AAS or equivalent program is required.
• Clinical experience from an accredited program is required.
• Registration/certification by ARDMS/ARRT/CCI/ARMRIT/CNMT/MQSA is required.
• License must be obtained if required by the state.
• Current BLS (AHA) certification is required.
• Experience imaging patients of all ages, hospital-based preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform imaging exams per protocol under physician orders using appropriate modalities.
• Ensure quality images and patient safety; adhere to ACR/IAC and department standards.
• Maintain accurate documentation and PACS uploads; coordinate with physicians and area supervisor.

Responsibilities

Advanced Imaging I use equipment to visualize internal structures, blood flow and obtain measurements. American College of Radiology (ACR) and Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) are the 2 guiding bodies used in Imaging. In the Radiology settings, ACR is followed. In the Cardio-vascular Ultrasound setting, IAC is followed. Cardio-Vascular Sonographer practice following Protocols and Techniques as per scribed by the Cardio-Vascular Medical Director. Advanced Imaging I, practice following the protocols and techniques as per scribed by Imaging Medical Director. All Advanced Imaging I, will practice their skills within the scope of their credentials and with a valid written physician’s order always. Skill evaluations will be done by the area supervisor or preceptor assigned. Advanced Imaging I will perform, under the supervision of a physician and complete exams per protocol using diagnostic criteria; completes required information on PACS. Promotes the smooth and efficient operation of the Imaging Department through the appropriate utilization and management of all clerical functions within the department including document handling and disposition, interpersonal relationships and information gathering and dispersion. Meets all requirements set forth by accreditation (ICAEL, ICAVL and ACR) as appropriate and governing bodies, including JCAHO, federal and state bodies, and department-specific requirements. Performs other duties and responsibilities as required.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• 1. Proof of completion of an AAS or equivalent program required.
• 2. Graduation from an accredited program with clinical experience required.
• 3. Registered and/or certified by ARDMS, ARRT, CCI, ARMRIT, CNMT, MQSA credential required.
• 4. License required if required by state.
• 5. Current and valid BLS (AHA) certification required.
• 6. Previous experience in performing imaging on patients of all ages, especially hospital-based experience preferred.
