Job summary

Saint Mary’s Health Network in Reno, NV seeks a motivated student for Imaging Procedures as part of the radiology team. You will perform imaging procedures per department protocols under supervision, support PACS transmission, and participate in quality and PI activities.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in an accredited radiologic technology or medical sonography program, with basic life support (BCLS) and at least one year of clinical exposure.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Currently attending an accredited health care educational program for radiologic technology, medical sonography, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Mammography, Interventional Radiology.
• Meet state requirements for exemption from licensing to operate x-ray equipment or obtains a state student license if required.
• Completion of their first year curriculum requirements.
• Current BCLS (AHA).
• At least one year of clinical experience in the program.
• Proficient computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform imaging procedures according to department protocols.
• Functions as the first line interface with customers and is successful in the accomplishment of their imaging needs.
• Participates in PI/QC activities.
• Responsible for processing and transmission of images to PACS.

Is enrolled at a student with a college or imaging program. Performs Imaging Procedures according to department protocols, HFAP/TJC/local regulatory/CMS, State and Federal Regulations. Student is supervised by a licensed or accredited Technologist/sonographer. Functions as the first line interface with customers and is successful in the accomplishment of their imaging needs. Participates in PI/QC activities. Responsible for processing and transmission of images to PACS.
