Job Summary

The CT Technologist performs CT and radiologic procedures per ARRT standards and hospital policies, optimizing radiation use and demonstrating knowledge of anatomy, patient safety, positioning, radiographic sciences, radiation protection, contrast medication safety, and specialized techniques. Maintains professional conduct aligned with ARRT Code of Ethics and St. David's values.

Responsibilities
  • Produce high-quality CT scans for patients of all ages.
  • Follow established protocols.
  • Operate CT equipment effectively.
  • Complete scans timely, organize workflow, and meet urgent demands.
  • Proficiently scan trauma and challenging patients.
  • Understand disease processes to produce diagnostic studies.
  • Educate patients about procedures.
  • Use power injectors within limits.
  • Document accurately.
  • Assist radiologists during invasive procedures.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program.
Experience
  • Preferred: One year of CT experience.
License/Certification
  • Certified by Texas Medical Board as a Medical Radiologic Technologist.
  • Certified in Radiology by ARRT.
  • Post-primary CT certification within 6 months of assignment.
  • BLS or CPR within 30 days of start.
