Job summary

Sentara Port Warwick in Newport News, VA is seeking a dedicated full-time Dual CT/DX Technologist for the night shift. The role involves providing quality CT imaging under physician supervision, administering contrast, and maintaining safety and documentation.

The ideal candidate will have a Radiologic Technology trade school education, ARRT or CNMT certification, and BLS. X-ray and CT experience are strongly preferred; nurses and support staff may join on-call as needed.

Qualifications

• Radiologic Technology trade school graduate required.
• ARRT or CNMT certification required; obtain ARRT CT registry within 2 years of hire; BLS.
• Previous X-ray experience preferred; CT experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality CT imaging under supervision and follow protocol.
• Operate CT equipment safely and maintain documentation.
• Educate patients and families about procedures; administer CT contrast per protocol.
• Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and ensure equipment is clean and ready for use.

Overview

Sentara Port Warwick, located in Newport News, VA, is seeking a dedicated full-time Dual CT/DX Technologist to join our team on the night (3rd) shift.

Up to $30,000 Sign On Bonus Available for Qualified Candidates!

Hours

• Monday - Thursday: 10pm - 7am
• No weekends; Call is required

Overview

Provide quality Computed Tomography (CT) Imaging to patients under the direction of a supervising physician with adherence to the required protocol standards. Performs Computed Tomography (CT) per protocol under the direction of a qualified physician; provides patient and family education; operates equipment safely; completes department documentation; maintains all equipment to be clean and operational; maintains adequate supply inventory for performing examinations. Follow radiation safety regulatory guidelines. Administration of CT Contrast per protocol.

Education

• Trade School Graduate - Radiologic Technology(Required)

Certification/Licensure

• ARRT or CNMT (Required)
• Must obtain ARRT (CT) advanced registry within 2 years of hire
• BLS

Experience

• Previous X-ray experience (Stongly Preferred)

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $38.74 - $58.21 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
