Job summary

Prime Healthcare in Dallas region seeks a CT Technologist to perform imaging procedures, position patients, and collaborate with radiologists. The role requires ARRT-CT and state licensure, with emphasis on patient safety and radiation protection.

The candidate will operate CT/X-ray equipment, manage imaging quality, and support contrast administration under supervision while maintaining infection control protocols.

Qualifications

• One year of acute, clinical radiology experience preferred.
• Knowledge of mobile and stationary Radiographic/Fluoroscopic equipment required.
• Extensive knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology required.
• Radiology/CT license and fluoroscopy permit as required by State.
• ARRT-CT Certification required.
• Must possess and maintain BCLS (AHA) upon hire.
• Proficient computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and position them on the CT table and explain the procedure with empathy.
• Operate CT scanners and X-ray machines to obtain images while adjusting settings to optimize quality and minimize radiation exposure.
• Monitor patients throughout the procedure for comfort and safety.
• Assist radiologists and may administer contrast agents or assist in related procedures.
• Ensure quality assurance of CT/X-ray equipment and proper operation.
• Maintain radiologic supplies and follow infection control protocols.
• Maintain ARRT registration status.

Overview

Employment Type: Full Time

Shifts Available: Days(Saturday, Sunday and Monday)

Shift Diff: $10/hr (Weekend Block)

Hours: 12-hour shifts – 7:00am to 7:00pm

Location: Dallas Regional Medical Center – Mesquite, TX

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

• Prepare patients and ensure patients are properly positioned on theComputer Tomography (CT)table and explain the procedure to them with empathy, address any concerns or questions they may have

• Operate CT scanners and/or X-ray machines to obtain images of the targeted body parts, which may involve adjusting the CT scanner settings tooptimizeimage quality while minimizing radiation exposure, radiation safetyat all times

• Monitor our patients, as a CT Technologist ensure their comfort and safety throughout the procedure

• Assistother radiologists, as you will work closely with them, who interpret the images you produced by the CT exam you may alsoassistin administering contrast agents or perform certain procedures

• Accountable for the quality assurance of CT scanners / X-ray machines to ensure they function properly and produceaccurateimages

• Responsible formaintainingradiologic supplies, making sure the equipment is in good operating order, and following protocolsregardinginfection control and hygiene

• Maintainyour register status for the American RegistryofRadiologicTechnologists (ARRT)
