Job summary

Research Medical Center in Kansas City, MO is seeking a CT Technologist to perform routine and specialized imaging procedures using ionizing radiation in a clinical setting. You will work with physicians to provide high-quality CT images that aid diagnosis and treatment, and you'll join a supportive team dedicated to patient care.

The schedule includes 12-hour day shifts on Thursdays and Fridays at Brookside campus for CT and X-ray, with additional CT shifts at Research Main Campus on Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Graduate of AMA-accredited radiology program or equivalent degree.
• CT technologist certification within 12 months of hire.
• ARRT radiographer registration within 12 months of employment start date.
• BCLS certification within 30 days of start date.
• Two years of CT experience preferred.
• On-call availability within 30 minutes of call back.

Responsibilities

• Position patients on CT table with care and precision.
• Initiate IVs for contrast as needed.
• Assess image quality and adjust parameters accordingly.
• Provide patients with post-procedure instructions.
• Prepare room using aseptic technique between patients.
• Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The CT Technologist performs routine and specialized imaging procedures in the application of ionizing radiation in accordance with the established professional and departmental standards. The CT Tech provides high-quality computerized tomography images of the used by physicians for diagnosis and treatment. Schedule:Thursday and Friday 12 hour day shifts at Brookside campus for CT and X-ray. Saturday 12 hour day shift at Research Main Campus in CT

What you will do in this role:

• You will compassionately assist and position patients on CT table.
• You will start IVs for contrast injection and when necessary.
• You will assess image quality and make adjustments when necessary.
• You will release customer with proper post procedure instructions.
• You will turn over and prepare room using aseptic technique between patients and clean / sterilize equipment.
• You will follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.

What qualifications you will need:

• Prefer Graduate of an accredited AMA program with a certificate or Prefer degree in Radiology Technology.
• Registered Computerized Tomography Technician (CT) must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
• Registered Radiographer (ARRT) must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
• BCLS required within 30 days of start date.
• Two years of experience preferred with additional training in CT scanning.
• On Call Required and must have the ability to report to the facility within 30 minutes of call back.
