Job summary

Research Medical Center in Kansas City, MO, seeks a CT Technologist to join our radiology team. You will position patients on the CT table, start IVs when needed, assess image quality, and ensure proper post-procedure instructions.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program, ARRT registry or eligibility, CT certification within a year, BLS within 30 days, and at least one year of hospital experience preferred. Schedule: 3/12s with alternating weekends.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT registry required within 6 months if not certified.
• CT certification required within 1 year of registry eligibility.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum of one year hospital radiology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Position patients on CT table and assist during procedures.
• Start IVs for contrast when necessary.
• Assess image quality and adjust as needed.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Schedule: 3/12s with alternating weekends

What you will do in this role:

• You will compassionately assist and position patients on CT table.

• You will start IVs for contrast injection and when necessary.

• You will assess image quality and make adjustments when necessary.

• You will release customer with proper post procedure instructions.

• You will turn over and prepare room using aseptic technique between patients and clean / sterilize equipment.

• You will follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.

What qualifications you will need:

• Must be a graduate of a program with a certificate or degree in Radiologic Technology

• American Registry of Radiology Technology (ARRT) registry with six months of hire if not already certified.

• Certification in Computerized Tomography (ARRT-CT) required within 1 year of registry eligibility.

• American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.

• Minimum of one year hospital department experience in Diagnostic Radiology preferred.
