Job summary

Prime Healthcare is seeking a CT Technologist (CT Tech) in Kankakee, IL to perform CT scans per physician orders, ensuring image quality and patient safety. This per diem role offers a fast-track start and on-site work at St. Mary’s Hospital, Kankakee.

The position requires ARRT-CT, CT license, fluoroscopy permit as applicable, one year radiology experience, knowledge of radiographic equipment, and BCLS certification. Per diem shift is variable.

Qualifications

• One year of acute, clinical radiology experience preferred.
• Knowledge of mobile and stationary Radiographic/Fluoroscopic equipment required.
• Extensive knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology required.
• Radiology/CT license and fluoroscopy permit as required by State.
• ARRT-CT Certification required.
• Must possess and maintain BCLS (AHA) upon hire.
• Proficient computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT scans in accordance with physician orders and protocols.
• Produce high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient safety.
• Prepare and position patients; administer contrast as appropriate.
• Process and transmit images to PACS.
• Collaborate with Radiologists and clinical teams.
• Maintain accurate documentation and regulatory compliance.

Pay Transparency

St. Mary's Hospital - Kankakee offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $42.00 to $49.00 per hour. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
