Job summary

St. Mary's Hospital - Kankakee in Illinois is seeking a CT Technologist (CT Tech) to join our fast-paced team on a PRN, per diem basis.

The role focuses on performing high-quality CT imaging, maintaining patient safety, and delivering accurate results to support diagnostic care. The ideal candidate will have ARRT-CT certification, a state radiology license or fluoroscopy permit, BCLS certification, and 1 year of acute radiology experience.

Qualifications

• One year of acute radiology experience preferred.
• Knowledge of mobile and stationary Radiographic/Fluoroscopic equipment required.
• Extensive knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology required.
• Radiology/ CT license and fluoroscopy permit as required by State.
• ARRT-CT Certification is required.
• Must possess and maintain BCLS (AHA) upon hire.
• Proficient computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT scans in accordance with physician orders and protocols.
• Produce high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient safety.
• Prepare and position patients; administer contrast as appropriate.
• Process and transmit images to PACS.
• Collaborate with Radiologists and clinical teams.
• Maintain accurate documentation and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will perform high-quality CT imaging procedures, support diagnostic and therapeutic care, and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary healthcare team to ensure exceptional patient outcomes.

• Perform CT scans in accordance with physician orders and protocols

Pay Transparency

St. Mary's Hospital - Kankakee offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $42.00 to $49.00 per hour. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
