Employment Details

• Part-time, 24 hours/week
• Rotating shift, 12-hour shifts

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients by establishing necessary intravenous medications (IV) and administering contrast media
• Produce CT scans by entering patient data, programming the scanner, and operating the power injector
• Evaluate image quality and film all images
• Utilize radiation protection devices and follow infection control protocols
• Schedule and charge patients, retrieve films, and handle inquiries
• Explain procedures and acquire patient history
• Monitor patient safety and comfort during exams

Qualifications

• Completion of ARRT-approved Radiologic or Nuclear Technology program
• Current registration with ARRT, CAMRT, or NMTCB
• Maintain continuing education credits, with at least 2 in CT
• At least 20 hours of training in CT operation or advanced ARRT CT certification
• One year of general diagnostic radiology experience
• CPR certification within three months of hire
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs
• Preferred: ARRT(CT) certification within one year, and one year of CT scan experience
