Responsibilities:

1. Prepares patient by establishing necessary intravenous medications (IV) and administering oral and/or IV contrast media.
2. Produces computerized tomography scans by entering patient data, programming the scanner, and the power injector.
3. Evaluates the quality of images and films all images.
4. Utilizes radiation protection devices and protocols, and infection control policies and procedures.
5. Schedules and charges patients, retrieves films, and facilitates physician/patient inquiries.
6. Explains exam and procedures, and acquires patient history.
7. Monitors safety and comfort of patient through the exam.

Employment Details:

• Type: Full-time
• Shift: Weekend Shift
• Hours: 36 hours/week, including weekends and nights
• Sign-on Bonus: $10,000

Qualifications:

Required:

• Current ARRT registry and 20 hours of documented CT training (10 on-the-job).
• Maintains continuing education credits per biennium, including at least 2 in CT.
• Certification or re-certification in CPR within three months of hire.
• Completion of ARRT-approved Radiologic Technology program.
• One-year experience in general diagnostic radiology.

Preferred:

• ARRT(CT) certification, or obtain within one year of hire.
• One year of CT scan experience.
