Job summary

Mercy One in Des Moines, IA is seeking a CT Technologist for the Evening Shift with training provided if you have no CT experience. You’ll work with a collaborative radiology team using state-of-the-art equipment to deliver high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an accredited two-year Radiologic Technology program (ARRT or NMTCB).
• CT credential (ARRT or NMTCB) preferred.
• Maintains active registry status and a valid state license.
• Mandatory Reporter abuse training within 3 months of hire.
• Basic Life Support qualification.

Responsibilities

• Efficient interpretation of clinical information and radiology needs for patients.
• Accurate imaging technique and proper patient positioning per order.
• Monitor radiation exposure time and activity to ensure safety.
• Maintain sterile techniques and safety practices for patients and team.
• Troubleshoot and calibrate radiology equipment to prevent failures.

Responsibilities:

• Efficient interpretation of clinical information from clinical team meeting radiology needs of patients.
• Thorough and accurate imaging technique for patient positioning respective to the order.
• Hyper-sensitivity in monitoring radiation exposure time and activity.
• Routinely apply sterile techniques and quality safety practices for patients, teammates, and yourself.
• Mechanical aptitude and confidence troubleshooting, calibrating, and maintaining radiology equipment to avoid equipment failures.

Qualifications:

• M ust have relevant credentials as defined below:
• Successful completion of an accredited two-year Radiologic Technology program (ARRT or NMTCB).
• Previous CT experience preferred . CT credential ( ARRT or NMTCB ) preferred.
• Maintains active registry status .
• Maintains current state of employment Permit to Practice Radiology Technologist License
• Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training specific to population served within three (3) months of hire.
• Maintains Basic Life Support qualification
