Job summary

MercyOne Medical Group in Des Moines, IA seeks an experienced CT Technologist for a full-time evening shift. Training is provided if CT experience is limited.

Qualifications

• Accredited radiologic technology program completed (2-year).
• CT credential (ARRT or NMTCB) preferred.
• Maintains active registry status.
• Maintains current state Permit to Practice Radiology Technologist License.
• Proof of Mandatory Reporter abuse training completed within 3 months of hire.
• Maintains Basic Life Support qualification.

Responsibilities

• Efficient interpretation of clinical information and imaging needs for patients.
• Provide thorough and accurate imaging technique with proper patient positioning.
• Monitor and minimize radiation exposure time and activity.
• Apply sterile techniques and uphold quality safety practices for patients and staff.
• Troubleshoot, calibrate, and maintain radiology equipment to prevent failures.

Accredited radiologic technology program (2 years) with ARRT or NMTCB

Responsibilities:

• Efficient interpretation of clinical information from clinical team meeting radiology needs of patients.
• Thorough and accurate imaging technique for patient positioning respective to the order.
• Hyper-sensitivity in monitoring radiation exposure time and activity.
• Routinely apply sterile techniques and quality safety practices for patients, teammates, and yourself.
• Mechanical aptitude and confidence troubleshooting, calibrating, and maintaining radiology equipment to avoid equipment failures.

Qualifications:

• M ust have relevant credentials as defined below:
• Successful completion of an accredited two-year Radiologic Technology program (ARRT or NMTCB).
• Previous CT experience preferred . CT credential ( ARRT or NMTCB ) preferred.
• Maintains active registry status .
• Maintains current state of employment Permit to Practice Radiology Technologist License
• Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training specific to population served within three (3) months of hire.
• Maintains Basic Life Support qualification
