Job summary

Halifax Health is seeking a CT Technologist to provide high-quality CT imaging and patient care on site. The role includes contrast administration, patient assessment, and ensuring safety standards across radiology sections.

The candidate will back up supervision, coordinate sections in the absence of a coordinator, and supervise students while maintaining regulatory compliance. Strong multi-modality experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of a JRCERT or regionally accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT registration in more than one modality is required.
• Must be licensed by the State of Florida to operate imaging equipment per regulations.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in radiologic technology; multi-modality experience preferred.
• Experience with the PACS system is preferred.
• Previous experience in more than one modality is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT imaging and patient assessment.
• Administer contrast or radiopharmaceuticals with patient monitoring and follow-up.
• Provide backup supervision and coordinate radiology sections in the absence of a coordinator.
• Directly supervise students during procedures and maintain standards.

Education

JRCERT-accredited Radiologic Technology program (4-year preferred)

ARRT certification in more than one modality

Florida state license to operate imaging equipment

Job description

CT TechnologistThis individual would provide care to all patients while producing high quality imaging modalities.They would also provide contrast or radiopharmaceutical administration with patient assessment and follow-up information. Demonstrate all necessary skills and knowledge of section computer and /or equipment technology.Provide backup supervision (coordination) and direction to all radiology sections in the absence of a coordinator.Perform duties of a Level II Radiographer/Technologist when requested.Directly supervise students. Maintain certification according to the State, National and Medical Center regulations.

• - Must be a graduate of a Joint Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) orregionally accredited and approved School of Radiologic Technology. A four year program is preferred.
• - Must be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in more than one modality.
• - Must be licensed by the State of Florida to operate ionizing and non-ionizing imaging equipment according to MQA, Joint Commission and ALARA standards.
• - Minimum of 5 years experience in a specific Radiologic technology science or area of specializationrequired.
• - Experience withthe PACS system preferred.
• - Previous experience in more than one modality isrequired.
