Job summary

Halifax Health ExpressCare is seeking a CT Technologist to provide high-quality imaging and contrast administration with patient care. You will supervise students and support radiology coordination in the absence of the lead technologist.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Joint Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) or regionally accredited and approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• A four year program is preferred.
• Must be ARRT registered in more than one modality.
• Florida license to operate imaging equipment per MQA/Joint Commission/ALARA.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in radiologic technology.
• Experience with PACS preferred.
• Experience in more than one modality required.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality imaging across modalities to patients.
• Administer contrast or radiopharmaceuticals with patient assessment and follow-up information.
• Demonstrate skills and knowledge in radiologic technology equipment and software.
• Provide backup supervision and direction to radiology sections when coordinator is absent.
• Directly supervise students and ensure compliance with regulations.

They would also provide contrast or radiopharmaceutical administration with patient assessment and follow-up information. Provide backup supervision (coordination) and direction to all radiology sections in the absence of a coordinator. Perform duties of a Level II Radiographer/Technologist when requested. Directly supervise students. Maintain certification according to the State, National and Medical Center regulations.- Must be a graduate of a Joint Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) or regionally accredited and approved School of Radiologic Technology. A four year program is preferred. - Must be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in more than one modality. - Must be licensed by the State of Florida to operate ionizing and non-ionizing imaging equipment according to MQA, Joint Commission and ALARA standards. - Minimum of 5 years experience in a specific Radiologic technology science or area of specialization required. - Experience with the PACS system preferred. - Previous experience in more than one modality is required.
