Job summary

Halifax Health ExpressCare seeks a Day CT Technologist to perform quality imaging, administer contrast or radiopharmaceuticals, and assess patients. Travel between imaging modalities for coordination and supervision of radiology sections is required.

The role includes supervising students and maintaining regulatory certifications. Qualified candidates will hold a JRCERT-accredited education, ARRT multi-modality registration, and Florida license to operate imaging equipment.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of a JRCERT or regionally accredited and approved School of Radiologic Technology
• A four year program is preferred
• Must be registered by ARRT in more than one modality
• Must be licensed by the State of Florida to operate imaging equipment
• Minimum of 5 years experience in a radiologic technology area
• Experience with PACS system preferred
• Previous experience in more than one modality is required

Responsibilities

• Provide care to patients while producing high quality imaging
• Coordinate and supervise all radiology sections in the absence of a coordinator
• Perform duties of a Level II Radiographer/Technologist when requested
• Directly supervise students
• Maintain certification per State, National and Medical Center regulations

Day (United States of America)CT TechnologistThis individual would provide care to all patients while producing high quality imaging modalities. They would also provide contrast or radiopharmaceutical administration with patient assessment and follow-up information. Demonstrate all necessary skills and knowledge of section computer and /or equipment technology. Provide backup supervision (coordination) and direction to all radiology sections in the absence of a coordinator. Perform duties of a Level II Radiographer/Technologist when requested. Directly supervise students. Maintain certification according to the State, National and Medical Center regulations.- Must be a graduate of a Joint Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) or regionally accredited and approved School of Radiologic Technology. A four year program is preferred. - Must be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in more than one modality. - Must be licensed by the State of Florida to operate ionizing and non-ionizing imaging equipment according to MQA, Joint Commission and ALARA standards. - Minimum of 5 years experience in a specific Radiologic technology science or area of specialization required. - Experience with the PACS system preferred. - Previous experience in more than one modality is required.
