Job summary

ARA Diagnostic Imaging, a Radiology Partners practice serving the Greater Austin area, seeks a qualified radiologic technologist to support CT operations and quality control across our outpatient facilities.

You will perform scans, administer contrast, maintain patient safety, and ensure accurate documentation and PACS transmission in a fast-paced clinical environment. Training and cross-modality growth are encouraged as part of our team-driven culture.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA-recognized radiologic technology program.
• ARRT certification.
• MRT certification by the state Medical Board.
• Advanced venipuncture proficiency required.
• Excellent communication and patient-care skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily check-ups and quality control on CT scanners per credentialing organizations.
• Review requisitions, interview patients, prepare exams, administer oral and IV contrast.
• Explain contrast risks, position patients, select scan parameters, monitor during scanning.
• Ensure timely transmission to PACS and complete documentation.

Position Summary:

Performs and maintains daily check‑ups and quality control on CT scanners as required by credentialing organizations.

Reviews requisitions to determine proper study; interviews patients for medical history; prepares patients for exams; administers oral and IV contrast; utilizes knowledge of Creatinine meter; explains benefits and risks of contrast to patient; positions patient appropriately; selects scan parameters and exposure factors; monitors patient while scanning; reviews images for quality and abnormalities; adheres to OSHA guidelines; adheres to guidelines regarding radiation protection and recordkeeping; completes documentation and file notations; performs QC and patient tests according to protocol; performs weekly Emergency Crash Cart QC; works cooperatively with radiologist.

Performs IV insertion as needed following proper guidelines as established by Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).

Records the patient’s history and any pertinent information regarding their examination .

Verifies that all images, tech notes and required documents have successfully transmitted to PACS in a timely and accurate manner.

DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE :

• Graduate ofrecognized,approved AMA council of Education program in radiological technology.
• Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Certification as Medical Radiological Technologist (MRT) by the state Medical Board.
• Advanced venipuncture proficiency required .
• Must possess excellent communication and patient care skills.

Final compensation is determined based on education, experience, certifications, and geographic factors.
