Select Specialty Hospital - Akron is seeking a CT Technologist for a full-time role in Akron, OH. You will operate CT scanners, prepare patients, administer contrast, and monitor for adverse events, ensuring high-quality diagnostic studies.

Qualifications

• Must be certified by ARRT or CMRT.
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Maintain ongoing continuing education in licensure fields.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the patient for diagnostic procedures and create a comfortable environment.
• Position the patient correctly and apply technical factors to ensure quality studies.
• Operate the CT scanner to produce cross‑sectional images of anatomy.
• Administer contrast media as directed by the physician.
• Monitor for adverse drug events and report as needed.
• Perform routine QA on equipment and identify basic malfunctions.
• Perform clerical duties as needed, such as answering phones.

Minimum Qualifications

• At least 2 years experience as a Registered Radiologic Technologist and hold current state license (as required).
• At least 1 year experience as a CT Technologist (not including school).
• Must have ARRT or CMRT certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Must be current with Continuing Education in all fields of licensure.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience operating facility-specific equipment desirable.
