Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Akron is seeking a CT Technologist in Akron, OH for a full-time role. The position offers an hourly wage of $30.00 to $42.00 and a $2,500 sign-on bonus.

You will operate the CT scanner, position patients, administer contrast, and ensure high-quality diagnostic studies. Qualifications include 2+ years as a Radiologic Technologist with state licensure, 1+ year CT experience, ARRT/CMRT certification, BLS, and ongoing CE.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years experience as a Registered Radiologic Technologist and hold current state license.
• At least 1 year experience as CT Technologist (not including school).
• Must have ARRT or CMRT certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Must be current with Continuing Education in all fields of licensure.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the patient for diagnostic procedures by explaining the process and creating a comfortable environment.
• Use of proper patient positioning and technical factors to consistently produce quality diagnostic studies.
• Correctly operate a CT scanner to produce cross-sectional images of desired patient anatomy.
• Administer contrast media as directed by referring physician.
• Monitor the patient for any adverse drug events and report accordingly.
• Perform routine quality assurance on equipment and identify basic malfunctions.
• Perform clerical duties, as needed, such as answering phones.
