Position Description
Performs radiographic exams for patients of all age groups.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree or completed hospital‑based program in Radiology required.
- Graduate of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology preferred.
- American Registry Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in CT license required.
- New York State Department of Health Diagnostic Radiographic Technologist License mandatory.
- Minimum three (3) years' experience specializing in Computed Tomography (CT) Technology and cross‑section anatomy.
Preferred Qualifications
- Five (5) years’ experience specializing in CT preferred.
Physical Demands
- Heavy lifting and bending.
- Long periods of standing.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to see and read well.
- Ability to hear, listen and follow instructions.
- Sufficient mobility and dexterity of both arms or mechanical substitutes to operate a stretcher, move patients and other company equipment.
Pre‑Employment Requirements
- Successfully complete pre‑employment physical examination and obtain medical clearance from Stony Brook Southampton's Employee Health Services.
- Successfully complete a 4‑panel drug screen.
- Meet regulatory requirements for pre‑employment screenings.
- Provide a copy of any required New York State license(s)/certificate(s).
Failure to comply with any of the above requirements could result in a delayed start date and/or revocation of the employment offer.
