A staffing and recruiting firm is seeking a CT Technologist to perform CT procedures and ensure patient safety. Job description

Overview

Job Title: CT Technologist

Location: Long Island City, NY 11102

Schedule: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm (37.5 Hours/Week)

Duration: 13 weeks with possible extension

Base pay range: $75.00/hr - $80.00/hr

Traveler’s Pay Range: $2,800 - $3,018/Week

Responsibilities

• Utilize appropriate kV and mA techniques to ensure high-quality diagnostic CT images, performing daily quality control calibration checks on equipment.
• Administer radiopharmaceuticals as ordered, following protocols and ALARA guidelines while ensuring patient safety and accurate documentation.
• Maintain patient records, films, and electronic data for radiologist interpretation, complete required logs, reports, and charge documents per regulatory standards.
• Order, receive, and verify patient-specific radiopharmaceutical doses, ensuring proper activity levels before administration.

Required Experience

• Performs CT procedures according to the prescribed protocols to ensure uniformity and accuracy.
• Exercises appropriate judgment to assess and respond to patient’s needs prior to, during and after visits in the Radiology department.

License & Certifications

• Requirements include licensing with NYS DOH in Radiologic Technologist, ARRT certification in Radiography and CT, and BLS certification.
• At least 1 year of CT experience; Graduate of Radiologic Technologist.
• New York State License (L.R.T), American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT and current CT certification).
