Job summary

Piedmont Newton Hospital in Covington, GA is seeking a CT Technologist for weekend coverage (Fri/Sat/Sun 7a-7p). The role involves performing diagnostic CT examinations under Radiologist supervision and delivering patient-centered care across all ages.

AAMA-approved Radiologic Technology program and ARRT CT credentials are preferred, along with BLS certification. Minimum one year as Radiologic Technologist is required; those with less than one year must hold ARRT CT certification.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year experience as Radiologic Technologist; if less than one year, ARRT CT certification.
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology; CT registration required for less than one year.

• Weekends: Fri/Sat/Sun 7a-7p; CT Technologists perform diagnostic CT examinations.
• Operate CT imaging equipment following prescribed standards under Radiologist supervision.

Responsibilities:

Weekend Option Fri/Sat/Sun 7a-7p

RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Computed Tomography (CT) Technologists specialize in using ionizing radiation to produce cross-sectional images to help doctors diagnose and treat patients. CT Technologists perform diagnostic Computerized Tomographic examinations in accordance with all prescribed standards under the direct guidance of the supervising Radiologist. CT Technologists provide patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics.

Qualifications:

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
A minimum of one (1) year experience as a Radiological Technologist. If less than one year as Radiologic Technologist must have advanced certification by ARRT in Computed Tomography (CT).

MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (R).
If less than one year as a Radiologic Technologist, Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (CT).

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Advanced certification by ARRT in Computed Tomography (CT) preferred.
BLS certified. Six (6) months experience as a CT Technologist preferred.
