Job summary

Intermountain Health is offering a structured training pathway for Radiologic Technologists to advance into CT at Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, Utah. The program supports employees through hands-on CT training while working in a high‑acuity imaging environment.

Successful candidates will complete CT registry requirements within a year and may advance to a registered CT Technologist role. A $5,000 sign‑on bonus is available for eligible certified applicants after completing CT training.

Qualifications

• Completion of formal Radiologic Technology training from an ARRT-approved school.
• BLS certification for Healthcare Providers.
• Current State of Utah Radiologic Technologist License.
• ARRT Radiography certification and eligibility to sit for the CT registry.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient identity and imaging orders; prepare patients for exams including contrast.
• Position patients accurately using anatomy knowledge.
• Perform CT exams following department protocols and transmit data for interpretation.
• Evaluate image quality in real time and adjust for diagnostic quality.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness, calibration, and report issues.
• Assist with imaging techniques based on patient size and condition.
• Support department operations including inventory and quality improvement.
• Maintain radiation safety and infection prevention standards.
• Document all required information and image storage.
• Pursue ongoing learning and new CT procedures.
