Job summary

Aurora Health Care Southern Lakes, Inc. is seeking a CT Technologist to proficiently operate CT equipment for diagnostic procedures, maintain accuracy of imaging data, and ensure patient safety.

The role includes contrast administration under Radiologist supervision and post-processing of scans with precise labeling and documentation. The ideal candidate has accredited Radiologic Technology education and ARRT CT registration, with a couple of years of CT experience and strong communication

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of cross sectional anatomy and radiation safety.
• Proficient in IV and venipuncture (if required by facility).
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and patient service skills to work effectively with physicians, patients and other staff members.
• Ability to work independently.
• Intermediate computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate CT equipment to perform diagnostic procedures.
• Position patients and adjust scanning factors ensuring image quality.
• Prepare and administer contrast media under Radiologist direction.
• Post-process images and label correctly with patient details.
• Maintain records in radiology information system and document billing codes.
• Identify equipment issues and perform QA tests.
• Serve as a resource and mentor for staff and students.
• Collaborate with departments to educate on imaging processes.
• Perform patient positioning and lifting as required.
