Work Hours:

Monday through Friday, from 2:30 pm until 11 pm. The shift is evenings to help with creating availability for more MRI & CT scans until 11 pm. If the schedules are not fully booked out until 11 pm, then staff could leave early.

Job Summary:

Must be flexible with work hours to meet department needs. Responsible for providing safe, age-appropriate care and performing a variety of technical procedures with independent judgment, including setting up equipment and positioning patients.

Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

1. Verify proper clinician orders and obtain complete clinical history.
2. Follow procedures for contrast media administration and ensure proper patient identification.
3. Review images for quality, respond to emergencies, and assist other technologists.
4. Ensure patient privacy, comfort, and dignity.
5. Demonstrate proficiency in procedures, equipment, and sterile technique.
6. Explain procedures to patients, provide instructions, and address questions.
7. Maintain equipment, perform quality control, and ensure images are sent to PACS.
8. Restock supplies, transport patients, and perform clerical duties as needed.
9. Take call when necessary and perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education and Certifications:

• Radiologic Technology certification
• ARRT Radiography and Computed Tomography certifications
• Basic Life Support (BLS)

Experience:

Minimum 1 year in radiology; less than 1 year in CT preferred.

Skills:

Excellent communication, ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and perform independently and as part of a team. Knowledge of anatomy, pathology, and quality control in CT.
