Responsibilities

Computed Tomography (CT) Technologists specialize in using ionizing radiation to produce cross‑sectional images that help doctors diagnose and treat patients. CT technologists perform diagnostic computer‑tomographic examinations in accordance with all prescribed standards under the direct guidance of the supervising radiologist. They provide patient care to all age groups, including neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics. Technologists are part of a Piedmont internal agency pool used to fill critical and/or urgent staffing needs through designated assignments at Piedmont hospitals.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: graduate of an AMA‑approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT‑accredited hospital‑based training program.
• Minimum experience: certified by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT). Two (2) years of work experience as a CT technologist.
• Minimum licensure/certification required by law: registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (R).
