Job summary

Ardent Health Services in Westwood, NJ is seeking a Night Shift CT Technician to join our imaging team. The role encompasses performing CT examinations, patient transport, and coordinating with PACS/HIS systems to deliver high-quality care.

You will be responsible for scheduling, paperwork, and handling departmental communications, with a focus on patient safety and accurate imaging. A radiologic technology degree, ARRT RT registration, and CT certification or eligible within 6 months are

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• Registered by ARRT as a Radiologic Technologist (RT).
• CT Certification or eligibility with certification within 6 months of hire.
• Licensed by the NJ Department of Environmental Protection Bureau of X-ray compliance.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer.

Responsibilities

• Perform all CT examinations and ensure quality patient care.
• Transport patients to and from Imaging Services as needed.
• Prepare departmental paperwork and answer department calls.
• Schedule patients and manage patient information in PACS/HIS.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Education

Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology

ARRT registration as RT

CT Certification or eligible within 6 months

NJ X-ray licensure

BLS certification within 14 days of hire

Get to Know Your Team:

• Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center is a 128-bed, full-service, acute-care community hospital with a new emergency department, a state-of-the-art maternity center, a women's imaging center, and an ICU.

Responsibilities

This position is responsible for assisting in the delivery of personalized, professional, and quality patient care, internal and external customer service, performance of all CT examinations, transportation of patients to and from Imaging Services, preparation of all departmental paperwork, answering the department’s telephone, scheduling of patients, entering and retrieving patient information from the Picture Archiving Communication System (PACS) and Hospital Information System (HIS) and maintaining the work area in a clean and organized manner.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) as an RT.
• CT Certification or certification eligible with successful completion of certification within 6 months of hire.
• Licensed by the Department of Environmental Protection Bureau of X-ray compliance, State of New Jersey.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Previous employment as a Radiology Technologist.

Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education, and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
