Job summary

INTEGRIS Health in Oklahoma City seeks a CT Technologist to join our radiology team. You will position and transfer patients, operate CT equipment, and assist with sterile procedures and contrast administration.

The role requires ARRT-CT certification within 12 months and BLS/CPR certification within 30 days. You will report to the CT Lead Technologist or Radiology Manager/Director and may work varied hours as needed.

Qualifications

• ARRT-CT certification within 12 months of hire.
• BLS or CPR certification issued by ARC or AHA within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Positions and transfers patients promptly while maintaining safety.
• Develops film by automatic processing using radiology equipment.
• Performs sterile procedures as needed with surgical techniques.
• Assists in equipment calibration and quality control.
• Administers radiographic contrast per physician orders and policy.
• Evaluates need for radiologist input on contrast administration.
• Prepares IV setup for CT Scan and maintains aseptic technique.
• Reports to CT Lead Technologist or Radiology Manager/Director.
• May face varying physical demands, odd hours, and overtime as required.

Responsibilities

The CT Technologist responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Positions and transfers patients in a timely manner maintaining at all times the safety of the patients and their physical requirements
• Develops film by automatic processing utilizing a knowledge of this equipment
• Utilizes surgical techniques as needed in performing sterile procedures
• Assists in equipment calibration and quality control performing each test in a timely manner
• Administers radiographic contrast according to the request of the physician and the departmental policy and procedure manual
• Evaluates when radiologist should be consulted on the administration of contrast media
• Completes initial IV set-up prep for IV insertion for CT Scan including: IV Prep, IV Insertion, and IV positioning to secure utilization for proper aseptic technique.
• The CT Technologist reports to the CT Lead Technologist and/or Radiology Manager / Director.
• This position may have additional or varied physical demand and/or respiratory fit test requirements. Please consult the Physical Demands Project SharePoint site or contact Risk Management/Employee Health for additional information.
• Exposure to moveable tables and film bins, needles, chemical fumes from processors while developing radiographs, radiation, patients with contagious diseases, and electrical equipment. Occasional exposure to odors, blood, chemical irritation, a variety of constant interruptions, and inclement weather and traffic conditions during call backs; may work erratic hours and overtime.

Qualifications

• REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS:

• ARRT-CT (ARRT-COMPUTED TOMOGRAPHY) within 12 months of hire
• BLS (Basic Life Support) Issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association OR CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) Issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association within 30 days of hire
