Job summary

MercyOne Newton, IA is seeking a CT Technologist to join our exceptional imaging team. No prior CT experience is required, as we provide comprehensive training to help you excel and deliver high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Must have completed an accredited two-year Radiologic Technology program.
• CT experience preferred; ARRT or NMTCB credential preferred.
• Maintains active registry status.
• Maintains current state license to practice Radiology Technologist.
• Proof of Mandatory Reporter abuse training within three months of hire.
• Maintains Basic Life Support qualification.

Responsibilities

• Efficient interpretation of clinical information for radiology needs.
• Accurate imaging technique and patient positioning per order.
• Monitor radiation exposure time and activity.
• Apply sterile techniques and safety practices for patients and staff.
• Troubleshoot, calibrate, and maintain radiology equipment to prevent failures.

Responsibilities

• Efficient interpretation of clinical information from clinical team meeting radiology needs of patients.

• Thorough and accurate imaging technique for patient positioning respective to the order.

• Hyper-sensitivity in monitoring radiation exposure time and activity.

• Routinely apply sterile techniques and quality safety practices for patients, teammates, and yourself.

• Mechanical aptitude and confidence troubleshooting, calibrating, and maintaining radiology equipment to avoid equipment failures.

Qualifications

• Must have relevant credentials as defined below:

• Successful completion of an accredited two-year Radiologic Technology program (ARRT or NMTCB).

• PreviousCT experience preferred.CTcredential(ARRT or NMTCB)preferred.

• Maintains active registry status.

• Maintains current state of employment Permit to Practice Radiology Technologist License

• Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training specific to population served within three (3) months of hire.

• Maintains Basic Life Support qualification
