Job summary

Hillcrest HealthCare System in Tulsa, OK is seeking a Day Shift CT Technologist for a full-time role. You will operate the CT scanner with a focus on patient safety and high-quality imaging, while ensuring efficient patient flow.

The position requires a radiography degree, ARRT registration or eligibility, and BLS certification within 14 days of hire. You will collaborate with the radiology team and support staff to deliver exceptional patient care.

Qualifications

• Technical or Associate's radiography degree.
• Must be registered or registry eligible with ARRT; maintain registry while employed.
• BLS certification obtained within 14 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Operate the CT scanner safely and proficiently.
• Acquire high-quality imaging and precise positioning.
• Coordinate patient prepping and scanning to maximize smooth patient flow.
• Demonstrate knowledge of contrast media injections and reactions; start IV for contrast fluids.
• Transport patients to and from the department.
• Handle telephone scheduling and operate the PACS system.

Get to Know Your Team:

• Hillcrest Medical Center is a 656-bed hospital that includes The Alexander Burn Center, The Peggy V. Helmerich Women's Health Center, Kaiser Rehabilitation Center, the latest technology for the treatment of cancer, and the Oklahoma Heart Institute.
• Responsible for operating the CT scanner safely and proficiently.
• Obtain a high standard of imaging and positioning.
• Coordinate patient prepping and scanning to maximize smooth patient flow.
• Demonstrate knowledge of contrast media injections and reactions and be able to start an IV line to administer contrast fluids.
• Transport patients to and from the department.
• Handle telephone scheduling procedures and operate the PACS computer system.

Job Requirements:

• Technical or Associate's radiography degree.
• Must be registered or registry eligible with the ARRT.
• Maintain registry while employed.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
