Job summary

Ardent Health Services is seeking a Cat Scan-Technologist in Montclair, NJ for a variable shift PRN position. The role involves performing CT imaging and interventional procedures on adults and children, with patient prep and contrast management responsibilities.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of 3 years CT experience, NJ licensure as a Radiologic Technologist, ARRT certification, and BLS certification. Associate degree in Applied Science preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform Cat Scan diagnostic imaging and interventional procedures on adult and pediatric patients.
• Prepare patients for scanning and ensure patient safety.
• Determine appropriate contrast type and dose.
• Provide clear explanations and instructions to patients.
• Perform venipuncture, IV patency, and maintenance per guidelines.
• Monitor patient condition for adverse reactions during procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• The Cat Scan Technologist will be responsible for performing Cat Scan diagnostic imaging and Cat Scan interventional procedures on adult and pediatric patients.
• Prepare patients for scanning.
• Determine appropriate type and dose of contrast to be administered.
• Provide accurate explanations and instructions.
• Perform venipuncture, IV patency, and maintenance procedures according to established guidelines.
• Monitor the patient’s physical condition for any adverse reactions during the procedure.
• Perform any and all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED .
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in CT scan.
• Active and current New Jersey State License—NJDEP Radiologic Technologist.
• Maintains CEU Credits.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (A.R.R.T.) certification
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Associate’s degree in Applied Science.

Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education, and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
