This leadership role requires strong radiology background, regulatory knowledge, and the ability to mentor CT technologists, coordinate staff, inventory, and collaborate with radiologists and nursing staff to improve patient care.

Qualifications

• Requires an Associate or Bachelors degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
• Current NYS ARRT certification in Radiography.
• Current NYS Radiologic Technologist license.
• Current AHA BLS.
• Previous radiologic technologist experience; supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of CT procedures, radiation safety, and quality assurance.
• Excellent communication, organizational, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate daily operations across two diagnostic imaging locations
• Act as a key liaison between Radiologists and staff to address quality, safety, and protocol improvements
• Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nursing staff, and other departments to improve patient care and workflow
• Review and maintain appropriate staffing levels
• Monitor inventory and order supplies to support uninterrupted operations
• Investigate and help resolve patient concerns in a timely, compassionate manner
• Monitor patient flow, exam turnaround times, productivity, and overall department efficiency.
• Coordinate equipment maintenance and address technical issues
• Perform CT technologist duties when necessary based on department needs.
• Train, orient, mentor, and evaluate CT technologists and other department personnel.
