Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a CT technologist to perform CT scans of the head, chest, abdomen, and extremities, administering oral and IV contrast, and starting IV lines. You will develop films and log contrast reactions, while maintaining patient flow and adhering to universal precautions.

Responsibilities include timely responses to emergency CT requests within 45 minutes, training radiography students, and meeting ARRT and MA state licensing standards.

Qualifications

• Two years of formal radiologic technology training.
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• License in Radiography by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
• Good interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs CT scans of head, chest, abdomen, extremities as ordered by radiologist.
• Administers oral and intravenous contrast material.
• Starts and monitors intravenous lines.
• Develops and critiques film.
• Logs reactions to contrast material.
• Maintains patient flow and efficiency in the department.
• Responds to emergency CT requests within 45 minutes when called.
