Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a CT Scan Technologist to provide direct patient care and perform CT examinations under Radiologist direction in a fast-paced hospital setting. This role requires MA licensure and ARRT/NMTCB certification; travel between Marlborough, Nashoba, Groton may be required.

The position is non-exempt, full-time, 40 hours weekly, with day shift and 12-hour blocks. The successful candidate will maintain patient records, ensure image QC, and support department operations

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to provide quality patient care with minimal supervision in a fast-paced setting, collaborating with peers to product optimum results.
• Verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT scans appropriate to patient age in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Gather pertinent clinical data and maintain accurate patient records.
• Complete records, paperwork and billings accurately and promptly.
• Position and transfer patients and assist physicians with interventional exams.
• Send exams to PACS after QC for physician review.
• Maintain an orderly inventory and assist with supplies purchasing.
• Assist with urgent exam requests and scheduling.
• Perform CT exams with contrast under Radiologist or ER Physician direction.
• Establish IV access for contrast injection.
• Travel between Marlborough and Nashoba/Groton as scheduled.
