Job summary

St. Mary's General Hospital in Passaic, NJ is seeking a CT Technologist to perform diagnostic CT exams following physician orders and imaging protocols. You will work with Radiologists and the care team to deliver high-quality images, ensure patient safety, and document procedures in the PACS system.

Required are a state CT license with fluoroscopy permit, ARRT CT certification, BLS, and strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and radiology workflows. The role is on-site with competitive pay.

Qualifications

• Current state Radiology/CT license and fluoroscopy permit, as required by state regulations.
• ARRT (CT) certification.
• Current BLS (AHA) certification.
• Knowledge of mobile and stationary radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment.
• Extensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
• Proficiency with PACS, radiology information systems, and computer applications.
• Strong communication, patient care, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT examinations in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols.
• Position patients and operate CT imaging equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
• Assess patients prior to imaging procedures and ensure safety, comfort, and proper identification.
• Assist Radiologists with diagnostic and therapeutic imaging procedures as needed.
• Process, review, and transmit images to PACS for interpretation and storage.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, accreditation requirements, and state and federal regulations.
• Utilize knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology to support accurate image acquisition.
• Monitor and maintain imaging equipment readiness and report operational concerns as appropriate.
• Collaborate with Radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure timely patient care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation within electronic systems.
