Job summary

St. Luke's University Health Network is seeking a Registered CT Scan Technologist to perform CT examinations and assist Radiologists during invasive procedures for diagnostic purposes. The role emphasizes image quality, patient safety, and adherence to department policies.

The candidate should have ARRT-recognized education, a CT registry within one year, and NJDEP license with ARRT credential. BLS certification is required within three months of hire, with ongoing education and quality

Qualifications

Graduate from an ARRT recognized education program or ARRT registered.
A.A.S. Degree in Radiologic Technology preferred; NJ license and ARRT registry required.
Advanced CT registry within 1 year of hire; BLS certification within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

Directly assists Radiologist during invasive procedures and performs CT scans as directed.
Communicates clinical observations during CT scans to Radiologist.
Ensures accurate patient and exam information is documented and sent to PACS.
Maintains quality and safety standards for imaging, contrast administration and downtime procedures.
Educates patients about their examinations and care as part of the imaging process.
Completes annual peer review of images and participates in continuing education.
